Instruction (2011 October - )Videos now use H.264 for encoding (used for blu-ray) over mp4 container which produces twice better result than previous methods and is streamable as long as you have enough bandwidth (less than 200KB/s). To view newer movies, for Windows 7, launch Windows Media Player, press Alt key and go to 'File' then 'Open URL' and paste the movie link directly. (You do not need to download it entirely, unless you want to save it. Right click and copy the link URL.) and it will start streaming soon enough and can be skipped forward. If on Windows XP, download stuff like ffdshow or cccp package to enable H.264 decoding support on Windows Media Player or use VideoLAN or smplayer which supports it out of the box. For Mac (10.6, 10.7, don't know about 10.5), use QuickTime Player and go File and Open Location and paste to stream view. Other people's videos might vary on which format is used. Tournament games are based on this Facebook page. Instruction (2008 December - 2009 Jun)The recording method in wmv format requires no extra codecs to be installed for users and authors under Windows XP and later. Check this thread for more information. Instruction (2008 February - 2008 April)Files are encoded in xvid, so you need to download a decoder such as ffdshow or cccp package if you use Windows Media Player or get one of VideoLAN or smplayer or something else that supports it out of the box. Right click on link in each video page and do 'save-as' to download it. To record, view the forum entry. MiscIf you think you did a lame ass job in a game record listed and want the vid to be vanished, let me know. |
